Don’t Die
Every day on the caminos of Spain, people die. And so, sadly, it came to pass for a young Brazilian medical student Senda de la Lola who fell on her first day out of Ponferrada and split her head all over the path. She was due to begin an internship helping poor children in the ghettos of Peru but fate intervened. Her parents said it was her wish to be buried in Spain but I found this strange and am engaged in correspondence with them on this point. Young people rarely spell out their desired resting place. I am also trying to verify the Peru thing. It’s what Senda would have wanted.
